When a Fan Paid $1025.00 for Justin Timberlake's French Toast on Ebay

Let me paint the scene for you…

It was the year 2000, Justin Timberlake and N-Sync were burning up the charts with their smash hit “Bye, Bye, Bye”.

At that time, every girl wanted to be with Justin Timberlake and every guy wanted to be Justin Timberlake. However, there was one 19 year old girl in Madison, Wisconsin who wanted to be with Justin Timberlake a little more than the rest and she used an Ebay auction to prove it.

This girl’s name was Kathy Summers and she absolutely loved her some Justin Timberlake. She loved him so much in fact, she was determined to find a way to feel connected to him. In March of 2000, while listening to Justin Timberlake give a breakfast interview in the studio of New York-area radio station Z-100, she found her chance.

While giving this particular interview in New York, Justin Timberlake was offered and accepted a breakfast consisting of french toast. Over the course of the interview, Timberlake ate a few bites of the breakfast, leaving behind the uneaten portions of toast after the interview was complete.

Realizing Justin Timberlake left half of the toast uneaten, the Dj thought it would be hilarious to list the toast in an Ebay auction and see if anyone would actually purchase it. He had no way of knowing, offering Justin Timberlake’s fans a chance to own his half eaten toast would be like placing starving sharks in the middle of chum filled waters.

It may seem a little crazy to you and me, but when you’re a super fan who has devoted your existence to a certain celebrity. Gaining possession of the celebrities half eaten french toast is the opportunity of a lifetime.

So, Kathy Summers, the 19 year old N-Sync super fan, signed up for Ebay and along with way more people than you would ever think possible, began bidding on Justin Timberlake’s french toast in a frenzied Ebay auction.

Luckily for Kathy, she was the highest bidder in what turned out to be an extremely heated auction for the french toast leftovers. She won the object of her desire for the paltry sum of $1025.00.

Afterwards she waited with baited breath for the toast to arrive in the mail. The moment she received Justin Timberlake’s half eaten French toast, she instantly became the envy of N-Sync fans the world over.

When Kathy Summers was asked what she planned to do with the toast she said, “I’ll probably freeze-dry it, then seal it…then put it on my dresser,”

She also said Timberlake probably didn’t eat all of the toast because it looked a little on the burnt side.

Back to modern times, and a 41 year old Kathy Summers is out there somewhere, possibly with a husband that has to walk passed Justin Timberlake’s French toast sitting on top of the dresser every time he slides into bed with his wife. Or at least, that’s what I like to believe.
