Unusual News – The BALD HEAD OF QUEEN ELIZABETH Shown in a Wax Museum in Germany
Panoptikum wax museum in Hamburg, Germany, revealed the Bald Head of Queen Elizabeth during the annual cleaning and maintenance of the lifelike wax Figure.
With reporters standing nearby the museum’s managing partner, Dr. Susanne Faerber removed the pink colored hat protecting the silky smooth bald Head of the Queen.
Dr. Faerber explained that because of the high cost of hair used in wax sculptures they regularly use this method in sculptures wearing hats.
We only put in as much hair as visitors can see.”
The doctor was asked if it was disrespectful to show the bald head of the Queen figure, Faerber said,
“It’s a candle job, not a real person, it should always be kept in mind.”
Panoptikum Wax Museum was founded in 1879 by Dr Faerber’s great-great-grandfather.
The museum has more than 120 wax figures, including Donald Trump, Pope Benedict XVI, climate activist Greta Thunberg and former German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
What are your thoughts?
I personally feel it’s so lifelike that now everyone sees exactly what the Queen would look like bald, which isn’t a great thing.
I’m not British but I believe it was a little disrespectful. Adding hair wouldn’t have bankrupt this museum. But, if you make the decision to have a bald figure wearing a hat, don’t remove the hat in front of the press so your museum receives free publicity at the Queens expense.
Just my 2 cents!
