15 Photos Proving Celebrities once lived Normal Lives.
While watching celebrity cribs or hearing an actor just payed $40 million dollars for an oceanfront home. It’s easy to forget that they weren’t always rich and famous.
I’ve managed to round up 15 old photographs proving celebrities once lived shockingly average lives before catching their one big break.
Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio at a bowling alley in 1989
Whether you realize it or not, these two mega celebrities are actually very good life long friends. They met at 12 years old and an audition and have remained friends to this day.

“I saw this string-bean, goofy kid throwing karate kicks and I thought, ‘Ok, that guy does not have a shot.'”
Tobey Maguire recalls seeing Leonardo DiCaprio
I guess it’s a good thing Toby Maguire became an actor instead of a talent agent with an eye that poor.
Pamela Anderson – 1989
As we can clearly see in this photo of Pamela Anderson from 1989 she was definitely more shall we say “natural looking”.

Kurt Cobain & Frances Bean Cobain – 1992
This is one of only a few photos of Kurt Cobain where you will see him actively happy and smiling. He obviously loved his daughter. This could be an image of any young father holding his baby in the early 90s.

Michael Jordan in his college dorm — 1981
Michael went to The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and majored in Cultural Geography. Obviously, though, his main focus at that time was athletic. He got drafted before graduation

Martha Stewart — 1960
The businesswoman and TV personality got her start in entertainment in a way we would never have imagined. Martha Stewart actually worked as a model on campaigns for Chanel, and used that money to pay for college.

Amy Winehouse — 2003
According to the photographer: “She’s just about to release her first album. She’s experiencing brand new things for the first time. This small photographic moment captures that. I think it’s important. I think everyone should see it. I think everyone should be able to smile and remember Amy the way that I do.”

Halle Berry — 1986
Before Halle Berry was a glamourous movie star, she was a glamourous pageant winner. Look at her here, in 1986 as Miss Teen All American.

Heath Ledger – 1992
Heath ledger has been one of my favorite actors and possibly my favorite actor since watching him play Sir William Thatcher in the movie A Knight’s tale many years ago.
Years before starring in “A Knights Tale” Heath Ledger was auditioning for parts. In this photo from 1992 we see Heath Ledger at his very first audition.

Bill Clinton – 1960
A young Bill Clinton poses with his saxophone in 1960. How many voters know that he once considered a music career? Some remember he played at the White House a few times. But actually, it was a pretty serious hobby at one point. In office, he promoted ts first love.

Bruce Willis – 1990
Scout, The daughter of Bruce Willis posted this photo on social media on father’s day in 2014. By 1990 Bruce Willis was a celebrity but tell me how could I leave this picture off the list?

Shakira – 1990
Here we see Shakira before the blonde hair, sequins and tassels. She was beautiful before she was a mega star, same as she’s beautiful today.

Sharon Stone — 1983
Here, we see a young Sharon in 1983, before she was such a mysterious woman. She looks pretty innocent in jeans and a sweatshirt, in contrast to the character you may remember from Basic Instinct.

Michael Jackson – 1980’s
Michael Jackson was already a superstar by the time this picture was taken but there’s no way I was leaving this one off the list. Seriously, what is Michael Jackson doing with 2 little women chugging vodka straight from the bottle?

Neil DeGrasse Tyson — 1973
Neil DeGrasse Tyson is a rare scientist that has snuck into our pop culture. He is always on TV telling us the wonders of the universe in a relatable way. At this point, we have one main question about space. Do aliens actually exist out there? According to Neil: “Perhaps we’ve never been visited by aliens because they have looked upon Earth and decided there’s no sign of intelligent life.”
